BASKET GIRLS

Jane Birkin:

Here, here and here.
Lucy Gordon as Jane Birkin in "Gainsbourg (vie héroïque)":

Becky-May from The Bohemian Goods (The Flower Girl
):

The Mary-Janes!

There is a basket (maybe two, even) somewhere in Emma's supposed-to-be-a-walk-in-closet-but-looks-more-like-world-war-three. She has to find it (them?), or I'll do it for her!

THE PERFECT SCHOOL BAG

I watched "Le château de ma mère" yesterday and wow, imagine walking (or in my case, running) to school with a backpack like this. Of course the dream is to find it in a second hand shop but just in case that wouldn't happen, The Cambridge Satchel Company has both satchels and batchels with backpack straps.

PS. Devendra Banhart has absolutely nothing at all to do with this film, "Little Yellow Spider" is simply a sweet walk-to-school-melody.

EDIE SEDGWICKED

It all started as a joke: I tried to draw thick eyebrows on Emma, like Edie Sedgwick's, and then I continued with the eyes (but the so-called makeup is far from complete). I used an eyeliner for everything which is why the result is more clown than Edie and the eyebrows look like tattoos. Someday soon I want to re-do it with eyeshadow, false eyelashes etc. Just the fact that we forgot about the huge earrings... Not good!
